Dakota Fresh Food Hub Features Microgreens at Sioux Falls Event
Dakota Fresh Food Hub and SDSPA hosted a Fresher is Fun Mighty Microgreens event at Sanaa’s Gourmet Mediterranean in Sioux Falls on March 15, 2024
During the event attendees were able to learn about the nutritional benefits of microgreens while trying a variety of samples including onion, broccoli, radish, and sweet corn microgreens. Sanaa’s also prepared samples of focaccia bread and salad featuring local microgreens.
Other highlights included microgreen themed door prizes and kids activities. Visitors also learned more about SDSPA, Dakota Fresh, and featured local producers including SoDak Greens, Bruce, SD and Little Greens Microgreens, Sioux Falls, SD.
Guests seemed genuinely interested and most stayed to learn more about what the offerings were and how to get involved in purchasing local foods through the food hub.
