Presenter: Briana, Blossom and Branch Farm

Description: Briana is a fifth-generation farmer, but didn’t think she would get a chance to start up her own farm. Blossom and Branch is a 1.7-acre flower farm started in 2018 located in the suburbs of Denver. It was named Blossom & Branch Farm because of the unique land–half flower field and half woods–where the focus is on providing habitat for native wildlife and pollinators through native plants such as chokecherries, American plum, currants, and serviceberries. They strive to grow all of the flowers following organic practices, without the use of herbicides or pesticides. They are leaving half of the farm to provide a wooded forest preserve for wildlife, allowing the natural order to maintain the land. The farm is focusing on rebuilding the soil and putting nutrients back into the earth, while planting varieties that attract and feed native bees. Varieties grown are growing include echinacea, yarrow, medicinal herbs, dahlias, cosmos, snapdragons, zinnias, phlox, roses, peonies, clematis, sunflowers celosia, and much more.
