SDSPA Fruit & Vegetable Growers Webinar: How to Get Involved in Food Is Medicine as a Food Producer

Join SDSPA’s Fruit and Vegetable Grower group for our 2026 kick-off webinar on Wed., Feb. 25th at 10 a.m. CT/9 a.m. MT via Zoom.
Food Is Medicine programs, like nutrition incentives, produce prescriptions, and medically tailored groceries and meals, help provide people with better access to nutritious foods that can prevent or even treat chronic diseases. Local specialty producers can play a crucial role in providing food for these programs while also creating a new revenue stream for their businesses.
Join Gemma Bastian, assistant professor and SDSU Extension Nutrition and Health Specialist, and Olivia Husmann, Masters Student, to learn more about the new South Dakota Food Is Medicine Network, and ways that specialty producers can get involved in this growing movement.
