Root Washer & Green Spinner Showcase at Cedar Creek Gardens

Produce farmers and gardeners are invited to learn about the process for building a root washer and green spinner (using an upcycled washing machine), and see how Cedar Creek Gardens utilizes these tools on their farm.
The event is June 7, 2023 from 4-7 PM Central Time. We will start with a tour of Cedar Creek Gardens, followed by the equipment demonstration. Cedar Creek Gardens will be providing a light meal at the end of the event.

Cedar Creek Gardens is located 2 miles east and 9 miles south of 1880 Town off I-90, at 25580 249th St., Midland, S.D.
The gardens are co-owned by Bud Manke and Peggy Martin. They have 14 acres, 4 high tunnels, and 4 caterpillar tunnels used for quality produce production and season extension techniques. They grow a combination of vegetables, pumpkins and melons.
