Earth Care Farms started in 1977 with founder Mike Merner having an epiphany; “Living soil is the foundation of our well-being. A nourishing soil produces healthy plants, which leads to healthy animals, people and a sustainable planet.” Forty-seven years later, Mike and his wife still live and advise on the farm that their daughter, Jayne Merner, manages today. Our webinar guest, Jayne is the current co-owner and manager of Earth Care Farms, a 2nd generation large scale composting facility in Rhode Island that is currently expanding to Connecticut.
