Webinar focusing on a subject of importance to the tourism industry in our state. Many questions continue to be asked about shared rentals/short term rentals (Airbnb, VRBO, etc.) and how we can be assured that this large and ever-growing segment of the travel and tourism sector is ‘playing by the rules’ when it comes to state and local tax obligations.

Doug Schinkel, Director, Business Tax Division of the South Dakota Department of Revenue, will join us to discuss how existing short term rental properties are taxed in our state and how new laws directed at online marketplace providers affect property owners.
