Jeff, a native of NW Iowa, spent his formative years in the region before embarking on his educational journey at SDSU. His dedication and passion led him to earn a degree in Range Science. Post-graduation, Jeff’s professional journey commenced as he joined the NRCS, assuming the role of a dedicated Range Conservationist. Over the years, he contributed his expertise in various counties across South Dakota, showcasing his commitment to sustainable land management.
Jeff’s career trajectory continued to ascend, and his talents soon led him to become the District Conservationist for Potter County. In 2006, his outstanding contributions were recognized as he earned a promotion to the esteemed position of State Business Tools Coordinator. In 2010, Jeff further elevated his role within the NRCS, taking on the responsibilities of the Assistant State Conservationist for Programs.
With an impressive 26-year tenure at the NRCS, Jeff’s unwavering dedication has been exclusively intertwined with the South Dakota landscape. Beyond his professional pursuits, Jeff’s personal life is equally fulfilling. He shares his life’s journey with his beloved spouse and is a proud parent to four children. Their family endeavors extend to cattle ranching, reflecting their commitment to a well-rounded and sustainable lifestyle.
