South Dakota Farm to School’s Buyer Grower Conference 2025

South Dakota producers are coming together with schools for a one day conference to develop a network to serve S.D. local products to S.D. children. The conference is intended to bring together school nutrition professionals, producers, and ranchers to learn, share, and collaborate on ways to incorporate Farm to School in their local communities.

The conference is being held in two locations and dates to have the greatest impact; Huron on Jan. 20, 2025 and Rapid City on Feb. 17, 2025. Both events will run 8 AM to 5 PM.

The agenda will include specialized sessions tailored to both buyers, focusing on procurement strategies and supply chain management, and growers, with education on sustainable practices and partnerships for providing fresh, local produce to schools.

Registration is $60 and includes breakfast and lunch. Stipends will be available for attendees who attend the full day of the conference through the SD Farm to School grant.
