SDSPA Flower Growers Member Meetup- January 2025

The SDSPA Cut Flower Growers are hosting an online flower producer meetup for members on Wed., Jan. 22nd at 12 p.m. CT/11 a.m. MT via Zoom.

At the Jan. meeting we will be hearing from Rebecca Blue about the Women’s Ag Network in SD.

The Women’s Ag Network is a new program under development aimed at connecting, engaging, and educating women in agriculture, conservation, and related fields throughout South Dakota. The project aims to support women involved in all aspects of agriculture by helping them build their networks, providing career development opportunities, encouraging collaboration, and ultimately growing leadership capacity across the state.

In its first year, the Women’s Ag Network is focused on researching what an effective program looks like. As part of this effort, they are reaching out to women involved in ag throughout the state to get their feedback and input on the project. In addition, they are also conducting an online survey to gather insights from women in agriculture, conservation and related fields. This survey aims to understand their experiences, challenges, and needs. The feedback collected will help shape the program and ensure that it addresses the real-world issues faced by women in these fields.
