Webinar to Assist Producers in Developing a Regenerative Organic System Plan
Join us for an informative panel style webinar with Martin Goter and Angela Jackson, both Regenerative Organic Certified® (ROC™) farmers in the Dakotas.
Goter will share how his biodynamic and regenerative farming practices support and inform his voluntary certifications and conservation practices. Goter’s practices on the farm use biodynamic principles that align with allowing him to obtain ROC™.
Goter raises barley, buckwheat, flax, millet, oats, peas, rye, vetch, and wheat. His farm is certified to the National Organic Program, ROC™, and a Biodynamic farmer operating on just over 550 acres near Woodworth, ND. He serves on the Northern Plains Sustainable Ag Society (NPSAS) Board of directors and on the NPSAS plant breeder network.
Jackson will walk through how she has adapted her organic system plan to meet the standards of the ROC™ framework, including soil health management and conservation practices. She will share her lessons learned on communicating your farm’s values to buyers and the community through certification market claims.
Jackson serves as S.D. Specialty Producer’s Association’s Organic Ag Advisor, is a farmer ambassador for ROA, and certified organic to the NOP and ROC™ raising perennial and annual crops and poultry at Prairiesun Organics.
Whether you’re just starting the transition or deepening your regenerative practices, this session will help you to understand and expand your understanding of organic, regenerative, and biodynamic practices, and how these practices can support voluntary certification.
