South Dakota Honey Featured at Rapid City Retail Store
Local retailers throughout the state are set up to help consumers get connected with local specialty crops. This theme is being highlighted at events taking place this year and next, supported by a specialty crop block grant SDSPA received.
On June 3rd, honey was the focus as Bashful Bison in Rapid City, opened their doors and prepared fry bread, using grains from Belle Valley Ancient Grains, for visitors to sample honey from Hupp’s Honey. This event took advantage of Bashful Bison’s convenient location across the road from Main Street Square in Rapid City, with visitors from the Youth Carnival stopping over along with tourists and locals enjoying a beautiful day downtown.
