The South Dakota Specialty Producers Association (SDSPA) provides education, promotion, and connections for producers of specialty foods and products.

We invite S.D. Farmers Markets to join SDSPA’s new Farmers Market Chapter. The group focuses on coordinating statewide programming and promotion, and receives accompanying access to Farmers Market Coalition resources. SDSPA serves as the statewide partner for the Farmers Market Coalition.

Farmers Market Memberships are available for only $40 a year!

Benefits Of Membership

Statewide Farmers Market Collaboration

In partnership with SDSU Extension, SDSPA helps support the collaboration of farmers market managers, board members and vendors across South Dakota.

A statewide group was launched in 2020, meeting in the off-season, to discuss educational and marketing needs and statewide initiatives. The group has the ability to coordinate statewide programming and promotion and become a collective voice for S.D. Farmers Markets.

Free Farmers Market Promotion

South Dakota Farmers Markets are featured in an online directory and Google Map on the SDSPA webpage dedicated to farmers markets.

Exclusively, members are also welcome to submit market features and events which we promote in our newsletter and on our website and social media pages.

We offer opportunities to showcase your market at SDSPA sponsored booths or as a presenter during major state and educational events.

Educational Opportunities & Resources

The Association coordinates educational events through on-farm tours, conferences, workshops and online webinars with topics directed by member input.

Our website offers an extensive list of resources for farmers markets and the wide range of specialty agricultural products, as well as resources on business development, grants, food safety and more. Your membership helps support these efforts.
