SDSPA Attends Rapid City Earth Day Expo
S.D. Specialty Producers Association hosted a booth focused on urban agriculture at the Rapid City Earth Day Expo.
Rapid City Earth Day Expo was held Sat., April 26, 2025 at Western Dakota Technical College. Hundreds of visitors visited over 40 vendors, kids activities, a tree sale, clothing swap, music, a petting zoo, food trucks, and last but certainly not least a S.D. Specialty Producers Association booth focusing on urban agriculture hosted by Malisa Niles.
Niles answered gardening questions, spoke on urban agriculture projects, and promoted local foods. Niles had a basket of eggs on the table in various colors from her chicken coop and answered children’s questions about why there are so many different natural colors. The expo was a fun festive event that promoted sustainability and local projects. A great place to promote urban agriculture and local foods.
