Dakota’s Best Seed Hosts Facility Tour

On Sept. 20, 2024 Dakota’s Best Seed and 3rd generation owner and Todd DenBesten, hosted a field day focused on maintaining organic integrity in seed grain cleaning and handling.

The field day focused on practices and protocols necessary to maintain organic integrity throughout all the steps in seed grain processing and handling.

The field day video resource includes presentations from Dr. Angela Jackson, SDSPA Transition to Organic Advisor, about practices and protocols related to organic seed and Dr. Jared Zystro, Organic Seed Alliance, regarding organic seed integrity and genetics. 

This program is supported through the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Transition to Organic Partnership Program (TOPP). TOPP is a program of the USDA Organic Transition Initiative and is administered by the USDA Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) National Organic Program (NOP).
