Funds Available for Producers Hosting School Field Trips
We know that many of our Specialty Producers want to connect with their communities, and so we are excited to announce an opportunity for those interested in inviting a classroom to your farm.
SDSPA is able to offer a $100 stipend and assistance planning educational activities to four producers wanting to expose students in their community to the diverse agricultural operations that our S.D. Specialty Producer Association (SDSPA) members are involved with.
Participating producers must be a farm or ranch that can highlight at least one aspect of a specialty crop production during the tour.
If selected producers should connect with a school by March 11, 2022 to confirm a date and willingness to participate. The tour must be completed by June 15, 2022.
SDSPA will support by offering $100 towards the effort and if requested, can help assist in planning tour activities for the students.
