Capital City Farmers Market to Feature Chef Uriah Steber

Congratulations, Capital City Farmers Market! As the winning participant of the Farmer’s Market Price Sharing Project, they won the opportunity to host a Chef Event that features South Dakota specialty crops.

They are planning their SDSPA sponsored chef event for Saturday, Aug. 7 at the market in Pierre, S.D. during their regular market hours, 9am-1pm. 

Drifters Bar & Grille’s ‘Grilled Focaccia, Kale & Heirloom Purple Barley Panzanella Salad’  features B&G Produce greens & produce grown in raised beds at the Fort Pierre Community Garden.

The event will feature local produce creations by the talented Chef Uriah Steber from Drifters Bar & Grille. Chef Uriah will be creating and sampling a vegetable-based recipe using local ingredients sourced from Capital City market vendors.

Drifters Bar & Grille, who are big supporters of local foods, use a variety of local fruits and vegetables in creative ways, such this Grilled Focaccia, Kale & Heirloom Purple Barley Panzanella Salad featuring B&G Produce greens & produce grown in raised beds at the Fort Pierre Community Garden.
