Wilde Prairie Winery

Wilde Prairie Winery

Minnehaha County

Owner/operators: Jeff and Victoria Wilde

Business type: Winery

Wilde Prairie’s owners Jeff and Victoria Wilde run their winery on their family farm just west of Splitrock Creek in Brandon, on rolling hills perfect for grape growing. With assistance from their children and many friends, they produce a variety of fun wines, including strawberry wine, rhubarb wine, and dandelion wine.

In July 2004, Wilde Prairie became South Dakota’s ninth farm winery. It now has more than 2000 vines. And although they do grow many of their own ingredients, the Wildes are always looking for additional South Dakota fruit to use in their winemaking.

Wilde Prairie is host to many music and art events and festivals. You’re always welcome — Jeff and Victoria urge you to come and “Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy a sip of the country.”
